We are humbled and proud to have the opportunity to release the final four recordings from the beloved and now-defunct Miami band Beings. The Social Creep EP is a four-song, limited edition run of 100 copies in glow-in-the-dark vinyl with sleeve art by the band, screen printed in glow-in-the-dark ink by Iron Forge Press. Tonight is Beings’ last show and we are bummed. Go to Bardot tonight to see the final performance from Miami’s best band followed by a set from Puerto Rico’s Davila 666. A video for an unreleased Beings track, ‘Social Creep’, is above.
Above is a fresh video for ANR‘s ambient track ‘Dead Gulf’, which appeared as the B-Side of our ‘Big Problem’ 7″ this past January. The song soundscapes a remixed clip of our ‘Corynactis viridis‘ Natural History film from last year. Video artist Jamie Harley reworks the original clip, effectively transforming the 8mm corallimorph polyp into a anthropomorphic troubadour.

Sweatstock is this Saturday, which coincides with Record Store Day, as well as Sweat’s 6th Anniversary. We suggest going if you live in Florida - many amazing bands will play at Churchill’s and Sweat Records this day + night - including Discosoma’s Lil Daggers, Beings, and Guy Harvey. Check out the set times.
We will be offering a limited edition (100 ct.) Lil Daggers 7” that you can spy over on the left sidebar of this page. The hand-numbered and stamped ‘Slave Exchange’ b/w ‘Sweetwater’ 7” features a wheat-pasted photo by the band. Check out the B-side, ‘Sweetwater’, above the poster.
This Saturday, January the 15th we are throwing a party @ Little Munich in Lake Worth, FL to celebrate the release of ANR’s debut 7” vinyl. The ‘Big Problem’ b/w ‘Dead Gulf’ single is a limited edition of 100, hand-numbered + stamped by us, with individual lino-block printed sleeve art by the band. You can grab a copy at the release show and at the run of ANR performances supporting Washed Out the following week (including a Miami show). A portion of the remaining records will be going to Rough Trade’s London shop and to Sweat Records in Miami. Also performing at the release party are three of South Florida’s most awesome bands; Beings, Sumsun, and the band in Heaven. Don’t miss this show!
We are looking forward to Friday night (the 10th). First, Roofless Records’ awesome series ‘Cinema Sounds’ returns, this time at the brand new O Cinema in Wynwood. Beings, Cop City / Chill Pillars, Axe and the Oak, and Bulletproof Tiger will provide soundtracks to films of their choosing.
Second, Lil Daggers and Psychic Mirrors set The Vagabond up with a (healthy) dose of Datura-laden sounds. Attendees of the ‘Cinema Sounds’ show pay half-priced admission to the Vagabond show.
