Here we have an unexpected John Hancock remix of ‘Hole In Your Roof’, an unreleased Can’t Stop song. Download above.

This post is a little late, but tonight is fun, so here is what is going on in Miami this Saturday eve, January 29th, 2011. The event above, That’s Not A Knife, is a collaborative project from artists Justin H. Long and Meatball. It involves demonstrations of hand-made weapons :-)…
And then we are heading over to Sweat Records to catch the CD release from Can’t Stop. Also performing: Divorcee (Jose Castello from Animal Tropical) and Ice Cream.

This Thursday the 16th, we are co-hosting a party (“Holidazed”) w/ 10K Islands at Churchill’s Pub. Witness ANR, Plains, Deaf Poets, Sumsun, and the debut performance of Jorge Rubiera’s Can’t Stop (stream ‘Neopallium’ [Carl Sagan’s Brain Pt. II] above the flyer). 9PM doors, $5.

Can’t Stop is the solo project from Animal Tropical drummer Jorge Rubiera. We have been silently freaking out about this record, titled Neighborhood, for a while, and now it is officially available in digital form via iTunes. Check out a stream of ‘The Boys’ up above the photo of Jorge in the woods.
Additionally, the record is being handled by the newly materialized Rottweiler Farm, “a record label created by Humberto Jose Castello and Jorge Rubiera in order to distribute the creative materials they and their colleagues have been making”. Most who know of this creative collective have distant memories of Pygmy, and RF has plans to release a retrospective collection of their recordings in 2011.
