We are psyched to share that a selection of our Natural History films will screen on ATP TV during this upcoming weekend’s All Tomorrow’s Parties festival as curated by Animal Collective, in Minehead, UK. This will be the first international exhibition of our physical work; read more about the festival here.
Check out our most recent Natural History film, made in collaboration w/ Geologist of Animal Collective. The film premiered at the Borscht Film Festival on April 23rd. Read more about ‘Man O War’ here.
Above is a fresh video for ANR‘s ambient track ‘Dead Gulf’, which appeared as the B-Side of our ‘Big Problem’ 7″ this past January. The song soundscapes a remixed clip of our ‘Corynactis viridis‘ Natural History film from last year. Video artist Jamie Harley reworks the original clip, effectively transforming the 8mm corallimorph polyp into a anthropomorphic troubadour.
Just below is the Matthew Prickett directed video for Lil Daggers’ track ‘King Corpse’, released last year. Check out a Beings video created by Plains’ Jorge Gonzalez Graupera…

Sweatstock is this Saturday, which coincides with Record Store Day, as well as Sweat’s 6th Anniversary. We suggest going if you live in Florida - many amazing bands will play at Churchill’s and Sweat Records this day + night - including Discosoma’s Lil Daggers, Beings, and Guy Harvey. Check out the set times.
We will be offering a limited edition (100 ct.) Lil Daggers 7” that you can spy over on the left sidebar of this page. The hand-numbered and stamped ‘Slave Exchange’ b/w ‘Sweetwater’ 7” features a wheat-pasted photo by the band. Check out the B-side, ‘Sweetwater’, above the poster.

This Friday night we are having a party to celebrate the ‘Artificial Reef’ public projection series we are exhibiting on Miami Beach this week. At this party you will find art by us (Morphologic Studios) in video form and fluorescence photography, accompanied by live ‘aquatic soundscapes’ performed by ANR and Sumsun. A collaboration w/ video artist Jamie Harley will be projected on the bands as they perform. Check out ‘Call It Home’ from Sumsun’s new record Samo Milagro above.
There will be free Prestige beer + Andrew McLees will provide tunes before and after the bands. Friday, Dec. 3rd, 8PM-12AM. Art Deco Welcome Center, 1001 Ocean Drive - Miami Beach.
Above is the ‘Hang Four’ video we created for London duo WALLS, whose s/t debut LP via Kompakt has been a symbiote of the Morphologic aesthetic for months. Click here to read more about the natural history of the life forms in the video.
