This Thursday the 16th, we are co-hosting a party (“Holidazed”) w/ 10K Islands at Churchill’s Pub. Witness ANR, Plains, Deaf Poets, Sumsun, and the debut performance of Jorge Rubiera’s Can’t Stop (stream ‘Neopallium’ [Carl Sagan’s Brain Pt. II] above the flyer). 9PM doors, $5.

Tomorrow night is looking awesome: The Vivian Girls (photo above) are playing on the beach with Beings. Earlier in the night Sweat Records is hosting ‘Indiegenous’, a 305-centric showcase featuring Plains, Axe and the Oak, Dracula + The President (flyer below).
The V-Girls + Beings show is presented by Tom Tom Magazine, a periodical dedicated to female drummers. Check out their interview with Beings’ drummer Beatriz Monteavaro here.


This Friday, the 29th we celebrate the third release in our South Florida-centric 7” single series: Beings. The Vagabond and Sweat records are hosting the show, and Plains is supporting.
We will have the limited edition 7” vinyl available at the show, which features handmade sleeve art by the band. You can also order via this site by clicking on the little Add to Cart Paypal button to the left.

We are proud to present the debut 7” vinyl release (‘Innovator’ b/w ‘Stuck In The Night’) from Miami’s Plains. The record is limited to 100 copies in black vinyl with individually-stenciled sleeve art by band leader/ songwriter Michael McGinnis. We have rubber stamped our corallimorph logo onto the b-side of the center-sticker and stamped/ numbered the a-side.
BAR is hosting the 7” release party this Friday, September the 3rd with live sets from Plains and Animal Tropical. We will have the record for sale for $7 at the show.
PLAINS is a Miami group consisting of songwriter/ producer Michael McGinnis with live players John Hancock of ANR, Jorge Gonzalez Graupera of Guajiro, and Jared McKay (that’s me) of Morphologic Studios. Check out the video for ‘Innovator’ above and download the track via Transparent Blog.
